Inspired by the prolific work of Western Artist Charlie Russell
Having many of his books and falling in love with his work at
the beautiful C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana, his articulate paintings include the many horses he painted carrying the immortalized Cowboys and Indians across the mountains and valleys of Montana. I have walked in similar locations where I imagined his inspirations came from.
Chilly morning air and moist earth release that sleeping ground smell waking up with the sun. Stomping hooves kicking up early morning energize the magnificent horses while exhaling breaths surround their faces. A glorious moment for a memory, a gift from Russell passed down to those lucky enough to see.
