| About Cataract Creek...
This butter soft elk skin jacket is entirely sewn by hand. All lacing is hand cut and wholes are punched well over 1,000 times to cross lace the elk hides into a beautiful garment honoring the traditions of old world craftsmanship. The fringe is individually cut and tied to elongate the graceful flow of the hide. The inside lining is of satin, and is the only thing sewn by machine. Buttons are made of elk antler and stained to appear "aged". The making of this jacket is a worthy time consuming process. Taking on a life of it's own, the wearer makes it a 3 dimensional work of art through the patina of simply being.
